A sunny morning on the Mississippi down
by the marina. I dream of sailing all the way
down to louisianna some day.I'd take my sweet
time and paint this ever changing river all the way down.
Guess I better find someone else to steer!

Oklahoman Sunset

$150.00
It's enjoyable for me to learn how to write haikus. My daughter, Jenelle, helped me with the structure of this one. It was so peaceful to sit in the field while I painted this, so far away from society, and maybe a little lonely. But I'm friends with solitude.
Here's the haiku we wrote about this painting:
Pink and blue running,
Behind the lonesome figure,
Sky meets golden grass.

Trickster River
Trickster River
Glistening mirror's ripple,
bends to trick the eye,
The trees below grow crooked.
There's another Haiku my son wrote for me.
I personally find it interesting when trees grow out of cliffs and banks, because they always seem to grow into strange shapes. I've been painting this river for a long time since I live very close by, and it's starting to be my most comfortable place to paint.
11x6'', Pastel on Paper. Frame if requested. $94.00
